Ajoy Fernandes

Peter Lourdes is Salesian of Don Bosco. He has over 30 years’ experience in counseling, spiritual direction, teaching and training, seminars for priests, religious and educators. He was for several years Programme Director and Head of the Psychology department at NVSC, Pune. He was the first President of the Salesian Psychological Association. Currently he has a psychotherapy practice in Kolkata with teaching programmes around the country. Peter holds Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Salesian University, Rome, Masters’ Degree in Somatic Psychlogy from California Institute of Integral studies, San Francisco, and a PhD in Counselling Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago.  He is certified as a Massage Therapist by the San Francisco School of Massage.

Godfrey D’Sa is a Salesian of Don Bosco. He is the founding Director of Prafulta Mental Health Services, Mumbai. He has several years’ experience as group therapist and in organizing psychological training programmes for mental health professionals. Godfrey holds Masters’ Degree in Pastoral Counselling from Fordham University, and a Post graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Post Graduate Centre for Mental Health, New York. He is currently the President of the Salesian Psychological Association.

Thomas Varkey SDB has two Master’s in Psychology,   two honorary Doctorates and a regular Ph.D. in healing sciences. He has 15 years of experience in individual therapy and group therapy. He is the Director of H.R.T (Homeostasis Reality Therapy) clinic in Don Bosco Trivandrum and practicing there since 2001. He is member of Salesian Psychological Association and a member of Catholic Psychological Conference of India. A visiting faculty of Kristu Jyothi College (Bangalore), Visvadeep (Bangalore), Don Bosco Renewal Centre ( Bangalore), Sidhivihara (Mysore) etc. He has plenty of experience in treating religious, priests, seminarians, and lay persons especially youth who have psychological problems. He is at present the Director of the newly inaugurated Bosco Institute of Psychology and Spirituality that offers Integral Sabbatical Programmes.

K.C. Thomas has ten years of experience in counselling and teaching meditation. Former faculty member of Institute of St. Aselm (UK) and Sophia Centre, Holy Names University, California. He is at present the Programme Director of the newly inaugurated Bosco Institute of Psychology and Spirituality  that offers Integral Sabbatical Programmes. He has a Masters in Philosophy from JDV, Pune and hasdone two years training in Counselling and Pscyhoherapy at Sadhana Institute, Lonavla. He is certified trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming for Basic and Advanced Levels.

Jeyaraj Joseph Trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist at the Salford University, UK and is particularly interested in Gestalt Therapy which he uses in his counselling process. Holds a Masters degree in Psychology and Research from the Salesian University, Rome and is particularly interested in the study of human personality through Rorschach and TAT tests. He specializes on awareness of Developmental issues for all age groups and also for religious people through participative learning methodology. He is also an Advanced level practitioner of Reiki and has used it judiciously for helping religious and priests as well.

Sr. Anelfreda Miranda is a Daughter of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), perpetually professed in 1996, belonging to the Province of ‘St. Mary Mazzarello, Mumbai’. She completed her studies in Psychology at the Pontificia Facolta` di Licenza in Educational Psychology (1998) and Scienze dell’Educazione, “Auxilium” Rome. In 2007   she took PG Diploma in Counselling at St.Xavier’s Institute of Counselling Psychology. Mumbai.

T.D. John is a Salesian of Don Bosco. His first avocation is Action Research, an attempt to bring together psychology, social action and youth ministry. He has been exploring the possibilities of applying psychology to the process of the empowerment of the subalterns in Andhra Pradesh. It was this search that made him do his Masters in Counselling at the Sadhana Insitute, Lonavla, Maharashtra, India. He has initiated the Don Bosco Psycho-Social Services for this purpose. He has also a degree in Law and has practiced in the courts.

Kuriakose Pallikunnel is a Salesian of Don Bosco. Has MSC (Holistic Psychological Counselling) (2001) and PhD (Psychology) (2009) from Bangalore University. He is specialised in Educational counselling and Life Sklls Couselling. He is a member of ISSBD.

Michael Pampara is a Salesian of Don Bosco. He has MSc in Psychology from the Madras University. He did his Diploma is HRT in 2005. He now practices HRT Therapy at Vijayawada.

Devassy Chirakel holds a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. He has been engaged in formation and education for several years He has served in many Salesian Institutions as Rector and as Principal. He is pecialized in Life Transition Counselling.

Philomena D’Souza fma has a Masters in Psychology with specialization in clinical psychology from Auxilium, Rome. She has been working in the field of youth pastoral and youth counselling for the past 15 years.

Lioner Braganza holds a Maters of Science in Education in the field of Counselling and Personal services from New York. He is a qualified school counsellor in the field of personal, group and career uidance. He has been involved in youth activities for many years.
